The Youth Pastor Search Committee and the Elders Board are pleased to recommend Chris Reimer to the church membership for the position of Youth Director.
The plan is for Chris to begin full-time ministry as Youth Director in September 2024. Along with his ministry, Chris will begin a two-year mentoring and educational program through the Youth Worker Community – a Canadian organization focused on equipping youth pastors. After completion of this program focused on ministry competency, theological growth and spiritual formation, Chris’ title will change to Youth Pastor.
About Chris
Chris grew up at Parliament Community Church, over the years he has served in various areas of the church including children, youth, young adults, and our AV team. Chris also has a deep love and value for camp ministry, particularly at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, where he has worked over the previous years. Along with his ministry, Chris is graduating from the U of R this spring, where he has studied accounting. Chris has a love for being active as well as sports, in particular, the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Youth Parent Meeting
Friday, February 23 @ 7 pm
Chris will be available during the youth time on Friday night to meet with parents, share his journey and view of youth ministry, and to answer questions.
Elder Board and Search Committee Breakfast
Saturday, February 24 @ 8:30 am
Chris will have breakfast with the Elders and the Search Committee. This will provide an opportunity for both sides to ask questions of each other and talk about youth ministry and the direction of the church.
Drop in Coffee Time
Saturday, February 24 @ 10:30 am-Noon
Chris will be at the church, and anyone wanting to ask questions of Chris, encourage him, or just come by for a visit is invited to stop by for coffee. Some of the Elders, as well as Pastor Mike, will be available to answer any questions people have.
Sunday Morning Service
Sunday, February 25 @ 10:45 am
During the service, Chris will share his journey to the place of candidating for the Youth Director role. He will also share his passion for youth ministry and his approach to ministry.
Annual Stewardship Meeting
Monday, February 26 @ 6:30 pm
We will be voting on the motion to call Chris to be the full-time Youth Director at Parliament Community Church.
