Adult ministries

adult ministries

Our adult ministries strengthen relationships of men and women of all ages to grow in faith and serve the world.

As a church we desire to see everyone primarily connect with us through our worship gatherings either in person or online, our adult ministries, and our care groups.

Beyond our services and care groups we have a variety of secondary opportunities to connect with the larger community. We have a range of opportunities ranging from Young Adults to our Heritage Builders, or other groups based on common interests such as various opportunities to enrich and strengthen your marriage.

Throughout the year we have a variety of special events– whether it be sharing meals together or enjoying a concert or comedy night. All events are opportunities to gather together and deepen community, to grow in faith, and to go and serve the world.

Young Adults Ministry

Our young adults group ranges in age from 18-30. They meet weekly for a variety of activities including social events, studies, and service opportunities. The group is diverse, ranging from those who are just starting the post secondary journey, to people in trades, to professionals starting their career. The goal of this group is to help young people navigate the changes of early adulthood and to better connect with the larger church.

Young Adults This Week

Nothing from Saturday, 13 Jul 2024 to Saturday, 20 Jul 2024.

Women's Ministry

At PCC we have a vibrant women’s ministry that reflects our desire to Gather, Grow, and Go. The primary activity of our Women’s Ministry is our Wednesday morning Bible studies.  Along with the Bible study, there are occasional special events, such as the yearly Ladies Christmas Tea and the Ladies Retreat at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp every other year on the first weekend of May.

Men's Ministry

We feel it is important to have men support and connect with other men and build relationships with each other. We also desire to see men encouraging and challenging each other to grow in faith. The men’s ministry group meets monthly during the school year for a men’s breakfast. The men participating range in age from young adults to “more senior”. If you’re new to PCC or looking for ways to connect with other men, we invite you to join us. Our gathering times usually include time for visiting, a speaker or video and time for prayer.

Heritage Builders/55+

The Heritage Builders is a group where seniors from both within and outside of our church meet together once a month to praise and glorify God and encourage one another.  They have coffee and goodies when permitted. Occasionally there will be a devotional or special program, such as the Heritage Builders Christmas Banquet. These special events are a great opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal basis.

Prayer Ministry

Here at PCC we have a growing prayer ministry with three main events. Our first is a Women’s Contemplative Prayer Group on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. We also have a Thursday morning prayer meeting at 9:30am for both men and women. The men meet in the Fireside Room while the ladies meet in the Prayer Room. In addition to the two weekly prayer meetings mentioned above, we also have a prayer meeting called Pray ‘N Chat that occurs on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. Every month we have a different prayer focus. Everyone is invited to join these prayer meetings, including families with young children. We try to include interactive ways for little ones to be able to join us in prayer. After the time of prayer, we then spend some time visiting and connect with one another.
