Dyck’s August 2023 Missions Update

Ministry Update

We wish to thank our PCC family for your support and prayers as we minister to the Biking community of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

We started off our summer ministry in April, hosting 2 “Seasons of Refreshing” weekends in Sask and Manitoba. A time of refocusing as members and getting spiritually filled as we prepare for ministry in the riding season.

Our summer has been busy, attending and supporting chapters as they conduct weekly rides with community bikers, numerous secular fundraising rides and bike rallies. We spent a weekend in June at St. Victors Rally near Assiniboia, a rather loud and boisterous event.

In July, Marilyn and I worked with our N. Battleford chapter in hosting a regional rally. Attendance was 47 members, plus 13 guests that came to check us out. Saturday evening included a community outreach event, where we provided food and refreshments as well as prayer to the core community in N. Battleford.

I (Ron) have had opportunity to speak at numerous churches and events this summer, where I continue to improve on my sermon delivery and Time management. 😂

It amazes us how many people are willing to receive pray for hurts or safety, if all we do is ask! We have met so many people who are open to a conversation. Our favorite place is Moosomin Tims, where we often stop for a quick coffee, only to meet someone there who needs some prayer.

We have had many years of planting and watering seeds of faith. This year, God blessed Marilyn and I with the opportunity to bring one friend to the foot of the cross and accept Jesus as his personal saviour. God is so good. One such experience provides fuel for years of continued ministry.

Looking Forward

In October we plan on driving down to Arkansas for a CMA International Leadership conference, followed by a CMA rally. It is an exhilarating experience, over 2500 Christian bikers singing and worshiping God, with great teaching from our USA Evangelists and our CEO.

Our first missions trip as a couple will happen in November, where we will fly to Mexico. From Cancun, we will be bused into the Mayan interior where we will participate in sharing the Jesus film to unreached villages and communities. We are so excited about this opportunity to share the message of God’s love to a people group that may see the love of Jesus for the first time, on screen and in their own language.
