“Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

May was a wonderful, busy time of traveling, visiting, sharing and catching up with
family and friends across BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. It was such a joy
and privilege to be able to travel safely from Abbotsford to Regina and
back (about 4,600 km) and to be able to see the beauty of the land and
skies from our Creator. From the wide open spaces, to the majestic
mountains, the wildlife and the Aurora, the trip was so amazing from
start to finish. I could feel God’s presence with me in all I did and shared.
Praise to the Lord for His creation and for the time I spent with family and friends.

As I headed to Edmonton for the first part of my trip, I had a few days of holidays and
spent them visiting with my sisters, one of my brothers and nephews.
While I was there, my oldest son Trevor turned up out of the blue and
we all enjoyed some family fun. My sister, Trisha and her husband
Gary (left); my brother Wayne at work (right).

I also had the pleasure of meeting Anne McNaughton (right) . Anne has been the
host of our Japan House of Prayer on Friday evenings/Saturday mornings for 5
years and it was my first time to meet her in person. We had a wonderful time
chatting and praying together. Please continue to pray for healing on her right knee
which she had replaced last winter.
From Edmonton I headed to Three Hills and had a delicious lunch and wonderful afternoon visiting

Rae Rempel (left). She has been a long-time supporter and
prayer warrior for my ministries in Japan. Late in the night in
Three Hills, I had the opportunity to see the aurora for the 3rd
night in a row. It was very beautiful to see it hiding in the clouds
above the open field.

When I arrived in Calgary, I had the chance to have lunch with Nana Ueno who served in Sakai Chuo
church for 2 years teaching ESL. Please pray for Nana as she takes care of her
mother who has serious health issues. On May 19th I was able to stay with
Laurence & Leona Hiebert (founders of Toyota East Christ Church where I served
for 5 years). It was a special time of sharing, praying and catching up on their
family news. I am thankful for their friendship & hospitality.

Driving to Saskatchewan, my first stop was with Logan and Heidi Foth and their
family. The Foths served in Osaka Bible Church with Abe sensei many years
ago. They now have 4 beautiful children and Heidi continues to speak and teach
Japanese to the kids. It’s really amazing to see how they understand more than

I do… Praise the Lord for their generosity and kindness and for the fun I had with them and
playing with the children.
I then headed to Regina and spent the next 4 days with Allen & Marilyn Bien, who served with
Mukogawa and Hoshida churches in Osaka for 2 years. The Biens, along with Ron
& Betty Russell (who covered Doris Goertz’s classes while she was
on MINA and both couples are pictured at left with me), attend
Parliament Community Church where I shared on May 25th. Many
thanks to Kevin Dell for his guidance and prayers, as well as
Kirstie, Les & Joanne for a lovely lunch. Praise the Lord for PCC’s partnership with my
ministries and for their Missions Council for their generous gift card to help me settle
back into Canada. I am so grateful to have had an opportunity to share what God has
done through the ESL program in Nagoya (picture at right).
Although I caught a nasty stomach bug in Calgary God helped me to return safely to Abbotsford. I am
so grateful to everyone on this trip for their hospitality, kindness, prayers and encouragement. Thank
you from the bottom of my heart.

A few items of praise & prayer:

-Praise the Lord for safety in my travels and for the generosity of everyone along the way. You all
made this journey possible and I was very grateful to have shared at PCC.

-Praise the Lord for the time I had with my family in Edmonton. Thank you for your continued
prayers for my sister Gloria who, after having a minor stroke last August, is still having health
complications.

-Please pray for the family of Chizuko Fuwa, who passed away on June 3rd in Nagoya, Japan. I had the
honour of serving alongside her and her husband, Fuwa sensei, in Komaki Hope Chapel for a few
years. Pray for Komaki Hope Chapel’s and Fujigaoka Christ Church’s members as they mourn her
loss.

-Please continue to pray for the balance of my support to come in before the end of July. I still need
to raise approx. $22,000 to ensure that my account won’t be in the red upon the completion of my
services with Multiply. If you would like to partner with me in this endeavor please read the
information below. Thank you so much for your consideration in this matter.

Love and blessings,
Wendy
