SKMB Greetings!

As you continue to journey through Advent 2021, I pray that that you are experiencing the hope, peace, joy and love that Jesus offers to those who call Him Saviour. Soon we will celebrate the coming of our precious Redeemer, who appeared in human likeness, and made His home in our neighbourhood. What a grand and amazing impossibility that became a reality – Emmanuel, God with us!

I understand the challenges that 2021 brought us as followers of Jesus. I understand the disappointments and despair that we battled as we sought to be faithful in our mission of making disciples. There were no shortages of affronts to advancing the Gospel and yet, it was advanced in Saskatchewan’s darkest corners: “…the people living in darkness have seen a great light” (Matthew 4:16a). In 2021, people from Saskatchewan came to faith, prairie disciples were transformed and SKMB churches brought glory to God. Amen. Praise the Lord!

Thank you for your support in 2021. Thank you for giving financial gifts, for your prayers and words of encouragement and counsel. I look forward to serving you in 2022. I welcome the opportunity to meet with the church and camp staff, leadership and community.

I leave you with some insight counsel for 2022 which I recently gleaned in my readings: “We should not strive to get back to ‘normal’, we should seek to get back to the supernatural” ~Mark Batterson

Scripture instructs, “be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18b).

Merry Christmas and Blessings for the New Year!
