“They got so excited, congratulated me, and said that I am already a Christian. What do you think?” 

That is what M (my hairdresser) said when I met with her for another evening of reading the bible and praying together on January 23rd. That day was an unusually busy day for me: Taking our 4-year-old foster son to the hospital for his hives, attending a ladies’ gathering, and visiting a Children’s Home. (to give belated Christmas presents to a 9-year-old former foster child of ours) I was tempted to reschedule my meeting with M for another evening, but in the end, I was glad that we met on that day. 

She shared that a few weeks ago she had attended an online gathering of Christians where people asked her some faith questions. After she answered several questions, they told her that she was already a believer in Jesus. So, I also asked some basic questions about faith. After hearing the answers, I said “ I guess they are right. You are a Christian!” Then I asked her, “What do you think of getting baptized?” She answered without hesitation, 

“It is written in the Bible, so I am going to get baptized. Could you help? “ She hopes to get baptized on her birthday in April. 

Two weeks later, the team from Canada met her at her shop (Photo below). It was the first gathering of believers there. M and our other friend shared their dreams for Japan. The evening concluded as the Indonesian Canadian brother led the group to pray over M’s shop. We dedicated the shop to God and prayed that as her customers come through the door of her shop, they will encounter God. 

Please pray for her as she continues to walk with Jesus on this journey. Pray that M will continue to share boldly from the bible at her hairdressing seat. Thank you for your prayers,

Thank you for praying for my hair dresser M. She has received Jesus as her saviour and the Lord！ Pray for her as she starts her new life with Jesus. She would like to get baptized on her birthday in April. 

Thank you for praying for Sola and his friends on their trip to Ishikawa. Please pray for them as they go to the Philippines for a Mission trip in March.
