May 2025 PCC Missions Update:

We were beginning to wonder if the winter would ever end, but warm weather is finally here, and we’re ready to begin our summer bike ministry.  Matthew 28:19 says: “Go into the world and preach the gospel”.  For us, in CMA ministry, it means to Go where the bikers are. Go – to the rallies, Go – on local charity rides, Go – to the ice cream shops. Luke 14:23 tells us to “Compel them to come in”. We have good news to share and we’re ready to RIDE!

Before the summer bike ministry begins, we use the winter months to prepare. We held meetings in January and March for the leadership members of each of our chapters, and then Ron led Seasons of Refreshing (SOR) weekends in Saskatoon and La Broquerie, MB, for all members of the Prairie Region. In May, we travelled to Windsor, Ontario, where Ron led one more SOR weekend on May 2-3.  (We thank God for safe travels as we brought the CMA trailer back to deliver to Red Deer.)  SOR weekends are a time of teaching and spiritual renewal to inspire members to be ready for ministry.

Last year, the theme for SOR was “Overflowing, Confident Hope”.  We were encouraged to share the hope that only Christ can give. This year, the theme was extended to “Are you ready?” This timely message is what we want to share with both churches and the unsaved bikers that we meet this summer. Are they ready for life after death? We have the answer… life with Christ! He is the only hope that we have now and in the future. And God gives us the courage to share His message in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.

We held a Dessert and Information night at Parliament Community Church on April 5th. We shared some personal experiences of bike ministry events and our Run for the Son fundraiser. We were thrilled with the attendance and had a most enjoyable evening with our PCC friends. The desserts were amazing, and the support shown to us was incredible. The total raised for RFTS was $2,250. Thank you! We appreciate the prayers and support of our ministry.

There will be Biker blessing events at several locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This is an excellent time for non-church bikers to hear the word of God and to receive a prayer of safety and blessing for the summer riding season. See the side panel for dates and locations.

Last June, we held our first Yorkton Biker Blessing.  Ron had felt God leading him to offer a Biker Blessing in Yorkton, where there are no CMA members or other Christian Biker ministries at this time. God blessed us with a great turnout of bikers. We have set a date for our second Yorkton Biker Blessing on June 8th. The Walmart manager has approved our use of the parking lot once again. Please pray with us for God’s word to fall on fertile ground as we share the gospel with bikers at this event.

We have attended St. Victor’s Boogie in southern Saskatchewan for many years. This is a secular rally that is sometimes described as a mini-Sturgis. We have been told that CMA is very welcome as we bring a spirit of peace to this event. We will once again set up the CMA shelter and walk through the campground to visit with rally attendees. Two weeks prior to the rally, we will do a prayer walk through the rally location. The prayer walk involves praying over every aspect of the rally: the land, the people and the activities that will take place at the event.

We know that God is working at St Victor’s so we continue to pray that there will be a greater way that we can serve. Specifically, we are hoping that in the near future, we will be allowed to have a Sunday morning service for bikers at the rally.

Our next significant event is our trip by truck (partway) and bike to Newfoundland in June/July. We will be gone for seven weeks to visit our first season in Newfoundland. We will wind up our eastern trip by linking up with CMA members at our Regional Rally in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, on the last weekend in July. This will be a time for members to enjoy fellowship together and to shine a light in the community of Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

We have many items to be thankful for, and we praise God for the “successes” that we have witnessed.
